Samuel Anthony Alito, Jr. - Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court was born April 1, 1950. He was nominated to the post by President George W. Bush on October 31, 2005 and confirmed by the United States Senate on January 31, 2006 by a vote of 58-42. He was sworn in at the Court shortly after his confirmation, becoming the Court's 110th Justice. Prior to joining the Supreme Court, Alito served as a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit from 1990 to 2006. More
