Forensic Animation
All animations start with models of objects and or people. The
models must be accurate and made to scale.
Model animations
are entered as demonstrative evidence.
A demonstration
animation shows how something works (like what happens when you
push the button down on the toaster). Demonstration animations
are usually uncontested. This type of animation is entered as
demonstrative evidence.
A re-creation animation
is an opine of an event. The script is known ahead of time - there
are no surprises. This type of animation is entered as demonstrative
evidence.
Simulation animations
analogize or prove something and are calculated by the computer.
It is the basis for or reinforces the expert’s opine. Simulation
animations can be admitted as either scientific evidence or demonstrative
evidence.
